Bio Clinic, a leading healthcare provider in Malaysia, aimed to modernize and streamline its patient care ecosystem. The goal was to create a single digital platform that brings together multiple healthcare services—teleconsultation, lab bookings, pharmacy, and clinic management—while enhancing transparency and operational efficiency.

EMed HealthTech partnered with Bio Clinic to build a customized solution, complete with IoT-based vitals monitoring and a robust clinic management system. This allowed Bio Clinic to offer seamless care delivery to both walk-in and remote patients, improving the overall healthcare experience.

Solution

Bio Clinic now operates as a unified digital healthcare platform that bridges the gap between patients and healthcare providers through seamless digital experiences. The solution delivers a streamlined ecosystem where users can consult doctors, book lab tests, receive medicines, and manage clinic operations—all from one platform. With IoT-enabled vitals collection and real-time syncing of patient data, the platform has enhanced care coordination, minimized delays, and significantly improved the patient experience across Malaysia.

Teleconsultation with MyKad Integration

Patients can easily register using their MyKad ID, which auto-fills demographic details. They can schedule, cancel, or reschedule appointments and consult doctors securely through video calls. Doctors can manage their schedules, prescribe medicines, and recommend lab tests in real-time, all within the same interface—ensuring care is smooth and data remains centralized.

Lab Test Booking & Workflow Automation

The platform allows patients to book lab tests either for home collection or in-clinic visits. A dedicated app for phlebotomists simplifies the collection process, while lab administrators manage testing workflows linked with clinic tokens. Results are automatically routed to the doctor and patient dashboards for follow-up consultations.

Online Pharmacy

The pharmacy module is fully integrated with the teleconsultation system. Patients can upload prescriptions or place orders directly. Pharmacists prepare a detailed quotation, which patients can approve before dispatch. Medicines are delivered to the patient’s home or made available for pickup. Revenue and order tracking are handled efficiently through the admin panel.

IoT Device Integration for Vitals Collection

The platform integrates with smart diagnostic devices to automatically collect vital health parameters like blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight, BMI, and oxygen saturation. These vitals are recorded and shared with the doctor in real time during consultations. It improves data accuracy, reduces manual errors, and supports faster clinical decisions.

End-to-End Clinic Management System (CMS)

A robust, multi-role CMS supports seamless clinic operations. It allows Super Admins, Clinic Managers, Doctors, Nurses, Receptionists, and Patients to interact within a token-based appointment system. Real-time syncing between lab and clinic queues, access to electronic medical records (EMRs), billing, and internal communications—all contribute to a streamlined workflow and enhanced patient experience.
